The USGBC (United States Green Building Council) is a non-profit organization that developed LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), a consensus-based national standard to support and validate successful green building design, construction and operation.
LEED is a voluntary, third party certification program that provides building owners and operators with the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings performance.
LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.
Buildings are awarded Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum certification depending on the number of credits they achieve.
ECOtrend Collagen Natural Interior Paint understands the importance of building a sustainable future, which is why we have become a USGBC National Member. Using our paint can help earn points towards certification. To learn more about the LEED rating system please visit www.usgbc.org.
